San Bernadino & San Diego Trip

We drove in Briana's car to Mike and Becky's place. Above is a picture of Mike's office building.
While there we went on a hike and only got a little lost. It was fun and you can see Zari had a great time.
We may have tired her out.
We had to drive down to San Diego to find out first hand if Trisha is really having a baby. Well here is the picture and Yes, she is pregnant alright!

We visited Balboa Park while we were there. We saw some beautiful flowers which unfortunately probably didn't help Trisha's allergies.

We flew back home while Briana drove back to school. One more month until summer break for her.
We had fun spending time with family and look forward to the new little one coming in June.

Baby Shower for Isaac Thomas

Here is Isaac at 6 1/2 months along. He is going to be a big baby!

We had a baby shower for Carolyn on Sunday the 16th. Carolyn was shocked to see how small the newborn diapers are. I am wondering if he could possibly fit into them.

Uvas Canyon

Lucy and Curtis, and of course the dogs, went with some ladies from church to Uvas Canyon. Despite the weather forcast, they only experienced a little rain. The scenary was beautiful and very serene. Last week the church TWEK group went to a Chocolate Factory. Curtis much prefers the forest!

This tempting morsel was trying to hide from the dogs. However, the dogs were not able to avoid the ticks. They had huge amounts of the detestible critters. Lucy had to hurry home to give all the dogs a bath.

Hike

Curtis was greatly refreshed by a hike with Shasta from Ohlone College to Sunol Park. The hills were a beautiful, velvet green and the weather was perfect.

God spoke to Curtis about his struggle with growing older. Curtis meditated on Psalm 103:5 where it says "Who satisfies your years with good things, {So that} your youth is renewed like the eagle." The focus of this verse is not physical because later the Psalm says our life is short "like grass." May God strengthen us and satisfy us with that awesome inner strength and victory that only He can give.

DogDayCare

Lucy is the queen of daycare-be it dog or child. She is "dogdaycaring" for two dogs, for a total of five dogs now at home--Nali, Derby, Shasta, Skyler and last but not least Darcy. The fur often flies fast and furious, particularly when getting up in the morning.

Great neice Kathryn

Here is our Great Niece Kathryn modeling the sweater and hat I crocheted for her. Isn't she so cute. I wish she didn't live so far away in Texas. We long to meet her in person!

Darcy is home

She seems to be saying, "I am sorry I just didn't like college". "Please let me stay here".

Darcy came home after two months in advance training. She decided she didn't want to be a working dog. She has found her favorite place under the desk.

Baby Gustavo Bernal

Here are the first pictures of Baby Gustavo due June 14, 08????.

Ken's Birthday

We helped celebrate Ken's 50th birthday at Chevy's with about 20 people, eating some delicious Mexican food in the process. Of course we mercilessly teased Ken with horrible things like Depends jokes and gag gifts. He took it with good humor, even the cake on the face prank. But seriously, we wish Ken a very happy birthday and life.

Uvas Canyon Park

We enjoyed God's beautiful creation today. Click on each picture if you would like to see it full size.

Curtis and I went on a hike with beautiful God made waterfalls. It was a new place to us about an hour away. Check out the waterfall behind us.
As a bonus they allowed dogs. Shasta and Skyler were happy hikers.
Skyler is always so serious looking, but Shasta seems to have a grin on her face.

Baby Boy Beeman

The Ultra sound pictures definitely show Jason and Carolyn are going to have a boy, possibly a big boy if he waits until his due date. Here is one of the pictures taken on January 8. He certainly is shaping into a nice baby.

Pond

Here is a recent picture of the pond from the roof (where I was watching the repair being done.)

Roof leak repair

The wave of storms revealed a severe leak in the roof resulting from the work done last spring. It took a huge tarp to prevent the leak.

Finally the source of the leak was found.

... and fixed.

Briana leaves for school

Someone wanted to go with her.

Briana took with her the newly redone, awesome 50's style bicycle from Rob.

The bike even had special writing on it.

We were said to see her go.
