Dallas Trip

Lucy and Curtis are in Dallas with family. James and Hope presented them with a concert.
The family all went to the Dallas Arboretum. The word beautiful does not even approach the beauty.
The statue man was really man, but very much like a statue in appearance.
Patrick loved walking around the garden, including chasing a squirrel.
Jedidiah's armadillo won the race!
Rachel, Jedidiah and Kathryn hide from the frog water jet.
What a beautiful family.
Kathryn was trying very hard to turn over. She has not yet figured out what to do with one of the arms.

San Bernadino & San Diego Trip

We drove in Briana's car to Mike and Becky's place. Above is a picture of Mike's office building.
While there we went on a hike and only got a little lost. It was fun and you can see Zari had a great time.
We may have tired her out.
We had to drive down to San Diego to find out first hand if Trisha is really having a baby. Well here is the picture and Yes, she is pregnant alright!

We visited Balboa Park while we were there. We saw some beautiful flowers which unfortunately probably didn't help Trisha's allergies.

We flew back home while Briana drove back to school. One more month until summer break for her.
We had fun spending time with family and look forward to the new little one coming in June.

Baby Shower for Isaac Thomas

Here is Isaac at 6 1/2 months along. He is going to be a big baby!

We had a baby shower for Carolyn on Sunday the 16th. Carolyn was shocked to see how small the newborn diapers are. I am wondering if he could possibly fit into them.

Uvas Canyon

Lucy and Curtis, and of course the dogs, went with some ladies from church to Uvas Canyon. Despite the weather forcast, they only experienced a little rain. The scenary was beautiful and very serene. Last week the church TWEK group went to a Chocolate Factory. Curtis much prefers the forest!

This tempting morsel was trying to hide from the dogs. However, the dogs were not able to avoid the ticks. They had huge amounts of the detestible critters. Lucy had to hurry home to give all the dogs a bath.

Hike

Curtis was greatly refreshed by a hike with Shasta from Ohlone College to Sunol Park. The hills were a beautiful, velvet green and the weather was perfect.

God spoke to Curtis about his struggle with growing older. Curtis meditated on Psalm 103:5 where it says "Who satisfies your years with good things, {So that} your youth is renewed like the eagle." The focus of this verse is not physical because later the Psalm says our life is short "like grass." May God strengthen us and satisfy us with that awesome inner strength and victory that only He can give.
