Briana is temporarily back from school so the family went out to lunch. The star feature was of course a certain grandson, especially his laughter.
Isaac loves to read books.

This is Isaac's one year family photo. I really like his expression. I think he is a bit frustrated that he has about 5000 pairs of shoes but here he does not have on any.

Isaac thoroughly enjoyed his 1st birthday party cake, and the rest of us enjoyed watching but not touching the special boy as he ate.
Isaac had to have a bath after the cake., which did not please him at all.
Lucy and Curtis searched far and wide for a wheely bug for Isaac. The toy has received lots of awards and is from Australia. No we did not go to Australia to buy it, only Oakland.
Isaac tries riding the wheely bug. By the end of the day he was a very tired boy. 
Tavo and Isaac have been focusing on their walking lately. One afternoon I got a call from Trisha that Tavo walked two steps. Then later in the evening I got a call from Jason that Isaac walked five steps. Soon I called Trisha and said, "Isaac calls Tavo's two steps and raises him three steps." Isaac's farthest so far is thirteen steps. We have a YouTube video of Isaac (click here) but not yet for Tavo.
This is a family tree made out of leather for Great Grandma (Grandma, Mom). It is a little hard to read it as a picture but I think it is passable. The "Cousins Collage" blog has the present that Lucy gave Mom. Mom also got a great sweatshirt from Dallas that I should have taken a picture of but did not.

↑Of course Jason's party had to be centered on games. We played Tripoly for hours on a homemade cloth board.

↑Briana made a gluten free, chocolate cake that was very delicious.
↑Isaac is looking a little tired here, he only got a short nap that day while shopping at WalMart--someones favorite place to shop.

↑Briana gave Isaac a play, TV remote that of course had lots of fun sounds. Isaac liked it. Briana will not be able to be there at Isaac's one year old birthday party.
↑Curtis went ahead and did a stupid thing--had another birthday. Too many of these can be hazardous to ones health. The purpose in this blog was not to gloat over becoming 57 years old, believe me that is nothing to be excited about. However, sharing the events of family gatherings gives me great happiness. I could be a multimillionaire but if I did not have the joys of family I would be like a penniless pauper.
