Final Day of Visit

Finally Isaac and Tavo had to say good bye.

Saturday we went on a picnic to Stulstaft Park, where Mike and Lucy spent a lot of time as children. The boys were not allowed to roll in the dirt--how mean.

Tavo got to say good bye to Skyler. He does not have a dog at home.

Darcy's agility training

Darcy continues her agility training. Lucy is also learning how best to make her leading moves.

Family Visit

Tavo loved Granddad's leather working hammer.
Tavo makes good use of Carolyn's ducky tub.
What a wonderful handful.

Tavo made some good moves in Isaac's walker.

Cousins Meet

Tavo and Isaac got to meet again. Trisha and Gustavo traveled all night and arrived at 6 am.

I am not sure which cellular plan Tavo is using but as long as it allows chewing it will work.
It was a huge giggle fest at bed time.
Gustavo does some upper body work with the little Gustavo.
Curtis took Tavo for a test hike in a very handy backpack.
Curtis got to feed Tavo some sweet potatoes.

Isaac's New Walker

Isaac got a new walker. He liked it and the parents found that it was easier for him if he wore shoes rather than just socks. Poor Isaac has a double ear infection with a cough. None of the family is sleeping much. However, he was able to be happy for a while with his new walker.

Brushy Peak

Lucy, Shasta, Skyler, Darcy and Curtis went on a hike with the Casual East Bay Hiking group to Brushy Peak. It was a huge group of 42 people and 7 dogs. The weather was perfect and the views were beautiful.

Lucy and Darcy at Agility Class

Lucy and Darcy went to their agility class. Both are learning. It is like fast dancing leading the dog through the course. If the leader confuses her steps or hand signals the dog goes in the wrong direction. Below is the teeter, Darcy's hardest obstacle. She is getting used to it but still needs some encouraging. Curtis made Lucy a teeter so they could practice at home.

Below is the A-frame.

Sunol Hike

Lucy, Curtis and the dogs went with the church cell group (the TWEK'ers-Talk, Walk, Eat and Kyak) to Sunol. Lucy took one group on a relaxed hike to Little Yosemite. Curtis took another group (called the SkyScraping Sherpas) on a very ambitious hike up into the hills. It was beautiful and inspiring at the top.

Below are two happy dogs.

Here is Lucy's group including dogs, Skyler, Darcy and Pepper. Shasta went with Curtis.

Here is Curtis' group. They hiked much higher and harder than Lucy's group.
