Art Project for Isaac

We had fun decorating some of Isaac's onesies.
All Isaac wanted to do was sleep. The poor boy had to take part in the art project.

The Shield

Curtis new hobby is leather working. Here are pictures of his latest creation, a Celtic shield. It is a reminder of the shield of faith which is so critical for every believer. It took many hours to stamp in the image of the Celtic cross.
Above is the back side. The pad in the middle is easier on the arms. The bands were made of six strands of braided leather. Bolts go through the shield to hold the banks.

The shield goes well with the sword that Jason gave Curtis.

4th of July with Isaac

Granddad just can't get enough of Isaac! But he has to sleep sometime.
He looks like he has something on his mind...
And he just wants to tell us.
We had a fun time, Curtis and Jason putting a new comode in and of course playing with Isaac. The Wii was lots of fun too. Happy 4th everybody!

Sad Darcy

Darcy is not too happy these days. On Monday June 30 she had a great time swimming but when we were leaving I noticed she was bleeding. I wrapped her foot when we returned home. The bleeding stopped but by Thursday it still didn't look good so off to the Vet's we went. She ended up needing stitches. They had to put her to sleep to stitch the cut and now she is really hating the bandage she has to wear until July 17. She has been out of it all day, definitely not herself. That was one very expensive swimming trip. Here she is Thursday night after she came home.
She is a little more awake here, Friday, but she was not interested in playing with Saydee and Sasha. She even refused her food, although she finally ate when we returned home from Jason and Carolyn's.
This same trip Skyler tried to eat a fish hook. Luckily she was able to throw it up without any problems. Needless to say we are not going to this spot again.
