Good bye Skyler. May you get all A's in dog college. We miss you already. This morning Lucy turned Skyler over to kind CCI members who took Skyler to the graduation ceremony at Santa Rosa headquarters.
We could be winners of the multimillion dollar lotto and still not be as rich as we are today. We are rich in our marriage of over 32 years, rich in our children and rich in their families. Jason, Carolyn and Isaac live near us. Trisha, Gustavo, Tavo and Nevaeh live in Arizona where Trisha and Gustavo work as house-parents. Briana graduated in nursing school at Azusa and is engaged to Robbie. Last and not least, we are rich in the Living Lord.
After dinner with family, Lucy posed with her furry friends for her 50th birthday. Her presents included a tennis watch, a "footprint" necklace with her children's birth stones, new clothes, birthday balloon and of course chocolate. The flowers are not shown because the puppy loves to eat flowers (and most anything else).
Have you ever taken stuff to the dump and then brought it back? Jason and Curtis got a little too enthusiastic about filling up the van with "junk" that needed to go to the garbage dump. Half way to the dump Curtis had a scary thought. What if the mattress was not supposed to go? Jason called Lucy and learned the discouraging story that the mattress was not supposed to be thrown away. So we really looked like fools carrying our good, and now very dusty, stuff back to the home.
Last night Nora went home to be with the Lord. Her suffering is finally over. I am sure she is enjoying a glorious garden made just for her.Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. II Corinthians 5:1
Skyler loves her toys. Sometimes too much. This particular toy plays music, don't ask me the tune because I don't know. Last night this toy played its tune All night non-stop in our backyard! Mine you it is only suppose to play once and stop until touched again. Neither one of us wanted to go out to stop it. Apparently Curtis went out in the morning and beat it until it stopped. Unfortunately it still works when touched. I wonder if we will be serenaded again tonight?
Zardis (alias Zari) was our 1st CCI service dog. She graduated and lived as a deaf assist dog for Helen for about three years. We just learned that Helen tragically passed away due to cancer. We are very saddened by the loss of that very wonderful woman.
