Superbowl Sunday

Isaac likes to chase the dogs with his puppy popper.
He is strong.
This is his motorcycle.
Marsha had this awesome mug made for Curtis. Lucy has another one.
Isaac definitely knows the differences in various kinds of balls. He calls it a "bootball" and is learning to catch it.
Of course many of his toys make special noises. And of course Curtis is always cold, wearing his jacket and cap almost all of the time.
Tender moments with Grandma and Grandson.
And special times with Granddad too--even eating junk food. Actually the chips were baked and not fried, much better that way in taste and for the body.
He puts many kinds of balls through the hoop.

Sunday Babysitting

While Carolyn and Jason went to the movies, Lucy and Curtis babysat Isaac. Later they joined Carolyn and Jason at the mall and ate dinner. While eating, Isaac showed his new sense of humor in a very fun and dramatic way. He would squeeze his face at Curtis and then they would do it back and forth. It was hilarious.

Warm at the pond

Sometimes it takes extra effort to stay warm at the pond.

Isaac and Skyler

Issac Loves to hug Skyler his best friend! He was sick this week and he would go and lay down with her. We hope you are feeling better Isaac.

Bri's Last Semester

Briana is off for her last semester of Nursing School. Her car is packed tight. We miss you Briana!

Lunch and play

Jason and Carolyn cooked an awesome pork dish in their new crockpot and invited Curtis and Lucy. Lucy was sick with the swollen gland so only Curtis went. Of course Curtis spent time playing with Isaac.

Riverdance

On January 1st, Lucy and Curtis saw Riverdance. It was incredible, although we were tired--it was way past the usual bedtime for these grandparents. It is hard to believe that the human body can actually do what these people in the Riverdance do.

Post Christmas

We had a late Christmas with Jason, Carolyn, Isaac, Briana and Rob. Isaac really liked his new puzzles from Marsha and Richard.
Lucy liked her new food processor. Curtis is looking forward to new food combinations.
Isaac really liked his new basketball backboard, the same type that his cousin was also given.
Best friends.
Joy bonds growing.
Daddy relaxing.
Watching Briana's pictures of lions in South Africa.
The new tunnel, much like the one that Darcy uses in agility training.

Very special people.

Catalina State Park

The whole gang went on a hike at the Catalina State Park. Well, to be more accurate, after we corrected the GPS problem we went hiking. The GPS took us to a different Catalina Park, there was a "slight" operator error in choosing the incorrect destination. The pictures do not show any of the ministry children due to regulations in that regard. The adults carried the toddlers on the first leg. Curtis took four of the children, ages 8 to 12, on a total 5.6 mile hike. It was the rockiest trail Curtis had ever been on. The children were amazing hikers. Even the eight year old girl did well, at times having to crawl over the big rocks in the trail, while the older boyes could just step over the rocks. The destination was an amazing waterfall and pools, in the desert! It was beautiful. Later we opened some presents, went with the big family to church, looked at Christmas lights, and ate homemade "Trisha friendly" cheesecake. Curtis helped the children make leather crafts. It was a real challenge moderating the younger children to do time intensive leather detail. We finally got back to the "Respit House" at 11pm, a very full day.
